In a world of polished social media photos (hey, I dig me some gorgeous photography and filters too) I think it’s also important to be reminded that life doesn’t happen in a series of perfect snapshots but rather in a series of imperfect situations strung together by God’s grace.

What this means is if you had your family in color coordinated outfits for the 4th of July–or not, you are taking a vacation this summer–or not, or your pursuits are going swimmingly–or not; as a child of God through faith in Jesus Christ you have ALL that you need! He is the perfect snapshot. ?

In Christ you have the perfect teacher (Philippians 2:5-11), the perfect example (1 Peter 2:21-23) and the perfect sacrifice (Colossians 1:15-23)!

So sister friend, as you watch, scroll, swipe and share, you mustn’t ever forget who God is and who you are in Christ. Keep Him at your center because there is not one person you see on social media who apart from Christ is flawless, has it all together or knows all the things. Therefore, tread through social media light-hearted and sure footed knowing that God’s grace is sufficient.

Much love,
