Girl, Walk In Truth | Carrie Robaina

Sisterfriend, I believe the Lord has burdened my heart to share this with you so that you will not be deceived. It’s a message that I’ve been pondering for the past few weeks and more in depth over the past week. Then, this morning as I was listening to Galatians while I was out walking my dog, I heard the words these words in Chapter 1 that resonated in my spirit, “Man’s gospel.” That’s it! That’s what’s been troubling my heart. Thank you, Lord!!!

Beloved, beware of coming into agreement with “man’s gospel” rather than the True gospel. There is no other name than Jesus that salvation can be obtained. As you read popular books and blogs, even by those who claim to be of the faith, ask Holy Spirit to help you discern truth from lies. There are many messages that feel good but be careful not to let that which tickles the ears to take root in the heart and mind.

2 Timothy 4:3 tells us, “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,..”

According to Matthew Henry’s commentary, what this means is that people will turn away from truth and grow weary of the plain and simple gospel of Jesus Christ. People will tell fables and both the hearers and tellers will take pleasure in them. As believers we must be watchful, bear the effects of our faithfulness and whenever possible, to make known the pure gospel. In other words, you were made for more but must not forget Who made you.

We are called to love thy neighbor which is a term becoming more mainstream these days but remember, the command before that was to love the Lord your God. Love without truth is not love at all.

Girl, walk in Truth!!!

On this week’s BRAND NEW episode of She Walks In Truth, author and speaker Jenn Baxer joins the show again. This time to chat about our words and how what we say and think impacts our lives.

Jenn shares how in a world where words can be twisted to sound like truth, it’s imperative for us to discern the difference between what’s truth and what’s not. Listen on your favorite podcast app or by clicking here.

Much love,

Carrie Robaina
